About 9 months (or so) ago I went through a slightly massive purging of my clothing (slash accessory slash shoe) collection. Low and behold I got rid of a handful of items that I really regret. I even contemplated going to the thrift store where Barton and I donated them and trying to find them - no one could love them like I did! But I held strong and never turned back. One of the items I am kicking myself over was a darling scalloped edge black slip (not unlike this one pictured below):

I was crying into my panda puffs about it until I saw this brilliant scallop tutorial on Vain and Vapid. Recreate my long lost scalloped edge skirt? I don't mind if I do!

I love her easy to follow instructions and reward of gin n' tonic. What project would be complete without a little gin?

Find this, other brilliant how-to's, beautiful pictures and advice about fashion at Vain and Vapid.
Love you, mean it
Emily
