Monday marked the one year anniversary of the death of fashion god Yves Saint Laurent. Yesterday a group gathered en masse in Paris as a memorial to the designer (wwd). Unlike his funeral, which was invitation only, this memorial was open to all.
To pay omage this week my suggestion is to get out your best tailored tuxedo jacket. Rock it with a pair of black shades and thank your lucky stars for the existence of YSL.
For those of you who missed the exhibit at the De Young museum in San Francisco, watch the documentary Yves Saint Laurent: His Life and Times directed by David Teboul. It features the same garments without the crowds of commentators.
