Mischief is in the Details

Get excited... Jason Wu loves kitties almost as much as we do <3

Jason Wu for Target is available in stores Feb. 5 - March 6.  Adorable french ingenue looks making me want to wear a ribbon around my neck like I used to (and share one with my kitty too!).  Here are some of my favorite pieces - or see the entire look book after the jump.

"Do People Not Wear Deodorant?"

Next Sunday Zac Posen's line for Target opens at a store near you. This past weekend was Posen's NY debut of the line. The party included a VIP room with the likes of Ginnifer Goodwin, Mena Suvari and (personal favorite) Claire Danes. This "party" was so off-the-hook the line spread from the corner of Eighth Ave. to the middle of 34th St. Posen himself had to be quarantined to a stairwell with security on hand.

Come see what all the fuss is about next Sunday when Zac Posen's line for Target opens.

Or if you hate throngs of people who Michelle Trachtenberg knows "do not wear deodorant" then you should prolly just peep it from here. Or here.

Et tu, Zac?

Since the Gaultier lookbook was leaked last week, Zac Posen got hellz jellz and decided to post his too. I, for one, may be late to this train because I understood that Jean Paul's line would be the last designer discount line to grace Go International's presence. I guess you can't stop a good thing?

Anywho, Posen's line is straight outta a "John Hughes film." 80's prom dresses and bib tops sprinkled over a red-strong palette. Though, I would have to say the floral dress (3 down) is my favorite. You don't have to take my word for it, see for yourself:

Priced very similarly to the Rodarte line (mostly under $50) this line is set to drop in April.

Happy hunting!

Jean Paul's Line for Target

Nitrolicious gave us a tiny peek earlier this week. But here are some clearer pictures of the line Jean Paul Gaultier is creating for Target:

Not being a regular fan of fashion's bad boy, I was all set not to be keen on this line. But his color and pattern choices are totally lovely and saleable for the spring season. I'm not so into the faux tattoo look, but hey, he's gotta be a little bad ;)

This line is the (supposed) last of the designer discount lines to come out for Target. The line will be available from March 7, 2010 thru April 11, 2010. And according to the little bee in my bonnet this line will not be as widely distributed as the last one (only 250 stores people).

Rodarte for Target

I've been wanting to write about this for WEEKS now...

One of my favorite design teams Rodarte, has a line for Target coming out this WEEKEND! So I don't know where you will be BUT I will be at Target bright and early, probably pacing the front doors in anticipation.

This venture is one of many lines for Target that celebrity designers have already done. Collaborations of note include Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui and Jean Paul Gaultier.

But this is my favorite. And I'm not the only one. Young blogging dynamo Tavi (from Style Rookie) is also excited. So excited in fact that she made this video all about it:

Pretty cute huh? I'm actually pretty jealous. What does this 13 yr. old have that I don't?! Anywho, here are some personal favorites from the Rodarte for Target look book:

The line opens this Sunday at a Target near you. Be there or be.. at home... drinking tea ;)

Target Practice

So it's a dangerous thing when you give a girl a Target credit card.  Especially with the likes of Alexander McQueen roaming the aisles.  And now!  What do they do to me?!?  They set up a line of cute (and INEXPENSIVE) designer shoes.  Fab fav designers Kari Sigerson and Miranda Morrison are putting out a limited edition shoe collection.

The shoes will be available from October 12th through December 26th.  And yes, we do accept early birthday presents.   Barton and I are both size 7 1/2.

No word yet on if these little darlings are vegan.  But if Target has taught me anything then yes. Yes they will be.

p.s. YES I know hooker!  I haven't posted pictures from my vacation yet.  My stoopid camera is taking a shit - I'll have them up soon.  Promise!  Cross my fingers!

You Think it's Like This, But Really it's Like This

Finished the epic project of making those Rodarte rip-offs.  The holes are a bit bigger than I wanted but oh well they still look pretty awes.

The picture is kinda blurry, but in that cool way. Shut up! I'm trying to be "artsy."  They are worn with some Sam Edelman-esque heels by Mossimo for Target.  The t-shirt is from Urban.  Necklaces (which are barely visible) are Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Design For All

I had almost forgotten until a friend reminded me today:  The Alexander McQueen line for Target breaks tomorrow!  So get there early & bust out your claws ladies cause I think this shit's gonna fly!  Unfortunately, I will be working so will someone pick up a pair of those pink zigzag print zip leggings for me?  Kthxbai!

Anyway, the line is called "McQ" and the tag is "design for all."  From what I can see - the items range from $23 to $80.  A little pricey for Target I know - but maybe they are planning to include Berkeley hills housewives in their constituency now??  What will be next Donna Karen for Kohl's?  Michael Kors for Kmart?  I sort of love it.
